Waterfowl Migration

The numbers of ducks in Southern Illinois continue to climb with colder weather finally here. Small waters are starting to freeze in the northern part of the state and the ducks are on the move riding the prolonged north and northwest winds in the Mississippi flyway. With cold over the next couple days, we should continue to see birds on the migration south and with warmer temps scheduled to arrive late weekend and early next week, the birds should hold in the area for the time being. Now is the time to be in the duck blind!
